A Base of Honored Names

A fitting tribute to this Ellis County veterans monument are 1200 brick pavers engraved with names of veterans and laid in checker-board fashion.  Each honored name stands alone – bordered by blank bricks on four sides.  Proud families provided initial memorial funding by placing names of their revered veterans in the base surrounding the site.

“These veterans honor their country by serving – we, in turn, must honor them”
